Established in May 2019, HOLA (Hispanic Organization of Latin Americans) traces its roots back to a small group of dedicated individuals at Dover Air Force Base who saw a growing need to support the Latino community both on and off base. Many of HOLA’s founding members and volunteers were U.S. military veterans and active-duty service members, whose values of service, discipline, and unity helped shape the foundation of the organization.
What began as a grassroots effort to uplift fellow community members has evolved into a dynamic nonprofit organization that proudly integrates veteran leadership and volunteerism into every aspect of its mission. Through cultural events, educational outreach, family support initiatives, and partnerships with local agencies, HOLA continues to honor the spirit of service, celebrating Hispanic heritage while strengthening the connection between veterans, families, and the broader Delaware community.
